The polymath ideal of our ancestors was not a person who knew many things, but a person who could build the curriculum in any field they entered. Al-Khwarizmi did not teach from a textbook handed to him; he wrote the textbook. Ibn Sina did not study medicine from a curriculum; he built the curriculum. This library is my inheritance of that ideal: a place where no science is abandoned and no school is privileged, where each subject is built from zero, structured for real use, and held to one bilingual standard.
